Content moderation

Catalog trust and safety

01

Introduction and guiding principles

Orbit is dedicated to a global, fair, and high-quality ecosystem for music, movies, and art. Content must be legal, respectful of intellectual property, and appropriate for a trusted marketplace.

02

Shared responsibility model

Content integrity begins with Producers and Aggregators and continues with Orbit platform review.

  • Producers warrant that they own or control the required digital rights.
  • Aggregators are expected to verify content, metadata, and legality for onboarded Producers.
  • Orbit can review content and remains the judge of the conditions under which recordings are commercialized.
03

Prohibited content

Content is prohibited when it infringes intellectual property, misleads users, violates law, harms people, or fails technical and metadata standards.

  • Copyright, trademark, counterfeit, or impersonation violations.
  • Hate speech, harassment, exploitation of minors, or promotion of illegal acts.
  • Missing or invalid ISRCs, inaccurate metadata, deceptive content, spam, or territorial restrictions that conflict with platform requirements.
04

Enforcement, reporting, and appeals

Violations may result in removal, warnings, or agreement termination depending on severity and frequency.

  • Users and rights holders can report violations at [email protected].
  • Third-party claims may be forwarded to the responsible Producer within fifteen working days.
  • Aggregators or Producers may appeal by contacting their Orbit representative or legal contact.
